It’s finally here! And we’re so excited you’re celebrating #GivingTuesday with us. Your donation will help us to provide tuition, room & board, textbooks, computers, healthcare, transportation, meals, and go towards funding our specialized in-house curriculum. Please click here to donate, and help us to build our brick in the virtual Giving Tower.
You’ll be helping students like Theavy Chhun. Theavy grew up in the Kampong Cham Orphanage Center in Cambodia, where she interacted with many foreigners and tourists who visited, but rarely stayed long enough to build lasting relationships with the orphans. More than anything else, Theavy wanted an education, as she knew it was the key to a successul future and a ticket out of a difficult life, working for next to nothing in a sweatshop. She found solace in novels, like Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and Dickens’ Oliver Twist. She learned about Global Children through one of our former students, and was accepted into our program. Today, she is a Korean major at RUPP’s Institute of Foreign Language — in addition to taking classes from our Student House’s Specialized Curriculum. With her skill set, Theavy wants to work as a tour guide or as interpreter. Learn more about Theavy’s story here, and meet more of our students by watching this video.
BONUS: If you’d like to join us in the office for #GivingTuesday, we’re having a Meet and Greet at 6 PM! Come get into the spirit of giving with all of us!
Show us your #UnSelfie with a message on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter, explaining why you give to Global Children. And remember:
