My name is In Pisey, and I am currently a third-year pharmacy student under the support of Global Children Cambodia. I lost the warmth of a complete family when I was 4 years old, when my parents separated, and my father passed away when I was 12. My siblings and I lived with our poor grandparents while my mother worked far from home in a garment factory. The family income was very limited-just enough to survive. I focused on studying because I believed education was the only way to help my family. After finishing Grade 12, I wanted to continue at university, but I didn’t have the financial means. For nearly two months while Global Children Cambodia reviewed my application, I felt lost and overwhelmed. Then, on December 20, 2023, I received a call confirming | had been accepted for sponsorship.
Now, I am fully supported by Global Children Cambodia-including tuition, housing, monthly allowance, and study materials. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the sponsors and especially to Mom Laura, who founded this organization with the mission of helping students who lack the means to continue their education.
Because of you, we have the opportunity to build a better future.
