I was born in Siem Reap, 30 kilometers from the city center. My father works as a farmer and construction worker while my mother is a housewife. They grow and sell vegetables daily, doing everything to support my three siblings and me. Despite commuting long hours to school without proper supplies, I never gave up. My father often asks if I want his difficult life—| promise him no and vow to create a better future.
After graduating high school, my family couldn’t afford university, and my dream of becoming an architect seemed impossible. When Global Children Cambodia awarded me a scholarship, my dream suddenly became reality. I am deeply grateful to Miss Laura and the board for this life-changing opportunity that will allow me to support my family and help my siblings continue their education.
