I was born in Kompong Cham Province as the fourth of six children. My father works construction and my mother is a farmer, but they couldn’t afford to raise all of us together, so I lived with my grandmother during my early years. To support my education, I sold fried bananas after school, picked discarded cashews on farms, and dug up cassava to sell for extra money. I relied on a single bicycle to get to school, and when it broke down, I sometimes couldn’t attend classes at all.

My life transformed when I was selected for the Bright Minds Youth program, which provided food, shelter, and school supplies through high school. After graduating, Global Children Cambodia chose me to pursue university studies in Pharmacy-a dream I never thought possible for someone from my background. I am profoundly grateful for this life-changing opportunity to work toward opening my own pharmacy one day, something my family could never have afforded on their own.
